The COVID-19 pandemic and associated social distancing, movement restrictions, and dearth of data related to the COVID-19 pandemic, made it necessary to adopt nontraditional data collection methods for research purposes.
UN Women and partners used Computer Assisted Telephonic Interviews (CATI) to conduct Rapid Gender Assessments during the last two quarters of 2020. These studies were aimed at measuring the impact of COVID-19 on women and men. This report is one of a series of data products have been developed based on the data. The report aims to provide a high-level overview of the potential impact of the pandemic on the achievement of Agenda 2030 in the region from a gender perspective.
