Violence against women is addressed through the Domestic Violence Act 2018, which criminalizes coercive control and provides civil protection measures, and the Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Agency Act 2023, which establishes a statutory agency (Cuan) to coordinate services and policy. Neither law frames violence against women and girls as a structural or gendered issue, and existing laws remain gender-neutral in language and scope.
