Law Number 21 of 2007 on the Elimination of People Trafficking, asserting the perspective and commitment of the State to eradicate this problem. This Law will serve as a strong umbrella for the prevention, handling and resolving cases of human trafficking, a very complex problem involving many parties. The law criminalized both cross-border and domestic trafficking as well as providing comprehensive protection for survivors of human trafficking.
