Brief Description
The organisation of shelters for battered women (LOKK) is collecting data on honour-related violence. The data consists of the numbers of cases, and the nationality, age and sex of the victim/violence (as some of the victims of honour related violence are men as well). The same organization is collecting very detailed annual data on the women and children staying at the shelters that year. The analysis of the data is done by The National Board of Social Services, an independent subdivision of The Ministry of Social Welfare. The annual statistical report of 2005 is available in English.
