The Pacific Gender Data Outlook Index 2026 provides the first systematic, region-wide assessment of gender data capacity in the Pacific. Developed by UN Women and the Pacific Community (SPC), the report assesses gender data systems across three dimensions: the enabling environment, data production and data accessibility. It finds that while gender data production is relatively strong, significant gaps remain in the institutional arrangements, financing and accessibility needed to sustain effective gender data systems. The report provides a practical diagnostic tool to help national statistical offices, policymakers and development partners identify strengths and gaps, set priorities and guide more strategic investments in gender statistics across the Pacific.
