Brief Description
The Resolution on the 8 Measures for the Elimination of Violence against Women, issued on 29 June 1999, was proposed by non-governmental organizations and the Office of Women's Affairs and Family Development. The measures aim at protecting women from violence in both domestic and public settings including, among others, by suppression of pornography, improvement of sex education and services for victims of violence, notably by means of speeding up the nation-wide establishment of One Stop Crisis Centres (OSCCs) in the hospitals.
