Brief Description
The Operation Centre for the Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence was established within the Office of Women's Affairs and Family Development (OWAFD) since August 2007 in accordance with the Protection of Domestic Violence Victims Act B.E. 2550 (2007). Its mandates are to 1) provide immediate services for domestic violence victims; 2) coordinate, support and follow-up the practice of temporary protective orders;3) coordinate with concerned officer/court regarding case settlement;4) coordinate with local networks and administrative authorities and 5) collect data and information on domestic violence and report to the OWAFD.
