Brief Description

Thailand has been implementing national measures and guidelines on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) for the period 2017–2027 to align with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325. The framework is grounded in principles of human security and human rights, aiming to protect the dignity of women and children, ensure freedom from violence and discrimination, and promote inclusive peacebuilding. The guidelines call on relevant agencies to integrate gender perspectives into peace and security policies, prevent violence in conflict settings, and support women’s participation in conflict prevention and resolution.
