Brief Description

Thailand developed a national framework on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) for the period 2017–2024, in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325. The framework integrates human security and human rights principles to address the protection of women and children, particularly in conflict situations. It emphasizes dignity, safety from violence, and non-discrimination, and serves as a guideline for incorporating gender perspectives into peace and security policies. The framework also promotes women's participation in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding processes.
