Brief Description
This law is for offenders who buy, sell, distribute, bring from or send to, receive, hold, detain or provide women or children to commit or accept any action leading to sexual gratification of austlier or for other obscene purposes, or in order to unfairly exploit for benefit of oneself or others, whether the concerned women or children consent to it or not. The penalty is up to five years imprisonment, a fine of up to 10,000 baht, or both. This law also provides witness interrogation of women and children beforehand, whether or not the offenders can be arrested. This is to protect witnesses from threats and to gather evidence for later prosecution.
