Brief Description

Thailand has enacted legal provisions to protect female workers, particularly pregnant employees, from discrimination and unsafe working conditions. These provisions prohibit the dismissal of pregnant employees and restrict their employment during night hours (10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). Employers, supervisors, foremen, and inspectors are prohibited from engaging in harassment, sexual misconduct, or actions causing psychological harm to female employees. Additionally, women are prohibited from being employed in hazardous environments such as mining operations, working at heights above 10 meters, or handling explosives and flammable substances. These legal measures aim to safeguard the rights, health, and safety of women in the workplace.
