Brief Description

Thailand has established 7,194 Community Family Development Centers (CFDCs) across 878 districts to monitor, prevent, and address family violence at the local level. These centers play a key role in strengthening families and reducing violence through community-based interventions. The Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development supports CFDCs by building their capacity and resilience through workshops, coordination meetings, and development initiatives aimed at transforming them into public benefit organizations. The centers serve as important local mechanisms for implementing family and violence prevention policies tailored to community needs.
