To effectively implement criminal laws and ensure speedy, gender-sensitive justice for victims of gender-based violence (GBV), 95 specialized GBV courts with 116 judicial officers have been designated across Pakistan. These courts focus on the adjudication of cases involving GBV, domestic violence, and related offences, and aim to enhance access to justice for women and other vulnerable groups. GBV Courts breakdown across Pakistan: 2 in Islamabad, 1 in Balochistan, 29 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36 in Punjab, and 27 in Sindh.
