Brief Description
The National Training Event on Improving the Measurement of Gender-based Violence in Kyrgyz Republic, 23 to 25 June 2008 brought together representatives from various ministries and statistical agencies to learn about gender-based violence concepts and how to measure them. Technical experts from the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and two member countries as well as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) carried out the national workshop. The goal of the training event was to improve the measurement of this type of violence.
