Brief Description
The Bureau of Women's Affairs collaborated with the Sisters to Sisters Project to raise funds for the building of shelters for victims of violence and their families. In addition, Food for the Poor an NGO recently provided the physical structure and furniture for a two- bedroom unit to serve as an overnight shelter to a family who is a victim of violence or in need of overnight shelter.
