Violence against women and girls
Brief Description
Health care workers and some members of the National Family Planning Board (NFPB) staff have benefitted from sensitization sessions on gender based violence to help them identify survivors and provide service and referrals. This has enhanced their ability to undertake advocacy and policy dialogue through their adoption of human rights and gender sensitive approaches to health care delivery. Additionally, through funding from UN Women, selected health care workers participated in policy monitoring workshops related to gender mainstreaming in the health services.
