Brief Description
Jamaica is the pilot country for the regional programme, Every Caribbean Woman every Caribbean Child (CARIWAC). The programme focuses on four main pillars, reduction in violence against women, cervical cancer, mother to child transmission of HIV and teenage pregnancies. The programme is championed by first ladies and wives of the Prime Ministers across the Caribbean. The Jamaica pilot will focus on improving the physical and emotional health of women and girls, recognizing that having healthy women and girls will contribute to a more healthy society.
