Brief Description
The revision of the National Policy for Gender Equality (NPGE) in 2021 updates and extends the original 2011 policy. While maintaining some generic gender mainstreaming approaches, the revised policy focuses on specific target areas identified by stakeholders as persistent barriers to gender equality. The policy is designed to address remaining gaps and support continued progress toward gender equality in Jamaica.
