Brief Description
The Domestic Violence Act (Amendment) Act 2004 makes special provision for women involved in residential and non-residential relationships. Proceedings under the Act may now be initiated by a third party on behalf of an abused woman and damage to property has now been recognised as a form of domestic violence which now provides redress and protection to women affected by domestic violence.
