Brief Description
The report of the Working Group on Women's Agency and Empowerment in the Twelfth Five Year Plan states that empowerment of women is a socio-political ideal, encompassing notions of dignity and equality, envisioned in relation to the wider framework of women's rights have also been identified. Addressing violence against women, in both public and private sphere, is an overriding priority of the Twelfth Five Year Plan.
