Brief Description

India operates 785 One Stop Centres (OSCs) across districts to provide integrated support services—legal, police, medical, psychological, and temporary shelter—for women affected by violence. From inception to 2023, these centers have assisted over 5.9 million women. The initiative is being extended until 2026 under the Sambal sub-scheme of Mission Shakti. As of 2023, 801 OSCs are functional and have supported 5.9 million women survivors of violence. The scheme is operational since 2015 and has been extended to 2026 under the Sambal component of Mission Shakti.
