Brief Description
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act provides for participation of women in employment and mandates employment of at least 33% of women who have requested employment. It provides for nurse and childcare at work site and convergence with schemes such as Integrated Child Development Services. The Act now covers all the districts of the country.
