Brief Description
In August 2008, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with an organization (Breakthrough), UNIFEM and the UN Trust Fund, launched a national campaign called Bell Bajao (Ring the Bell), which asks men and boys to bring domestic violence to a halt. The Bell Bajao campaign is a high profile national campaign using innovative media outreach throughout India. The campaign has already reached 124 million people.
