Brief Description
In June 2015, the DRC's Ministry of Gender, Children and Family initiated a review of its national strategy to end sexual and gender-based violence, initially adopted in 2009, to take into account not only sexual violence but also other forms of gender-based violence, including domestic violence. The revised strategy adopted in 2020 a 5-year plan to reduce violence against women.
