Brief Description

On December 14 2022, the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mr. Rishi Sunak, signed the joint communication: Albania - the United Kingdom 'Deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest' where they agreed to deepen cooperation in three areas of common interest: a) security issues and internal affairs (especially in the fight against organized crime and illegal immigration); b) economic growth and investments; c) innovation youth and education to further improve the monitoring and supervision of illegal migration and also the two governments agreed to work with the Expert Group for Action against Trafficking in Human Beings. (GRETA) to guarantee independent reporting on the implementation of the measures.
