The Arab States now has a dedicated gender data portal
GenTRACK

UN Women Arab States has launched GenTRACK - a new data portal to visualize the situation of women and girls in the region using the most relevant gender data. It highlights 194 gender indicators across a variety of thematic areas, sourced from nine global datasets and indices.

“GenTRACK is UN Women Arab States' ultimate data source and tracker for development data. It combines up-to-date gender equality data on topics, including women's economic empowerment, their leadership, participation in decision-making in politics, or violence in private or public spheres. Our new dashboard's analytical capacities provide insights that can produce evidence to inform gender-responsive policies and catalyze actions to leave no one behind,” says Susanne Mikhail, UN Women Regional Director for the Arab States.

Funded by the Government of Finland, GenTRACK provides reliable, accessible and updated data and allows for the easy identification of areas where progress needs to be accelerated. GenTRACK can guide actions in the region to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, to push for real improvements in the lives of women and girls in the Arab States.
